The Winter Night Market (on Wednesdays from 5pm till 31 Aug) at Queen Victoria Market, corner of Queen and Therry Streets Melbourne is about to get a whole lot merrier. It is set to transform into a winter wonderland for this year's Christmas in July which will be held every Wednesday evening from 5-10pm from 6-27 July. Entry is free and food and beverages will be available to purchase.
The Christmas spirit will be embraced with gusto as it is celebrated with an array of street food, warming drinks, dazzling decorations, carollers and roving performers. A snow machine will be in place to give you that White Christmas experience. Illuminated Christmas trees will twinkle, festive-themed entertainment abounds and spectacular ice sculptures will be on show. Some of the highlights include live ice sculpting, Christmas Carols with Open Door Singers to sing along to and a dazzling mini forest of Christmas trees.
Look out for roving Christmas entertainers like the stilt-walking illuminated angels, roller-skating Christmas tree and bauble, and daring circus tricks from Jangle the Christmas Elf and so much more.
