Ho Ho Ho. Come play in the snow and meet Santa at Mt Baw Baw's Christmas in July. Dig out or borrow from friends the snow boots, mittens and warm woolies, as I predict there will be family snowball fights in your near future.
This is a wonderful event for the whole family over the school holidays and Mt Baw Baw Ski Resort is the closest ski facilities to Melbourne at only 150 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD. That is so quick, only Santa's sleigh and reindeer can get their faster!

You can ski or snowboard and there are accommodation and ski lift packages for every budget. You can get everything from a one bedroom place that sleeps 4, all they way up to a wonderful cosy chalet that sleeps 19. It's time for the extended family to finally get together and enjoy the snow life!

But the best tinsel on the Christmas Tree, standing so tall glowing at the resort, is all the extra activities that Santa and his elves are holding for both young and old to enjoy. You can create your own very special Christmas cards. Or how about creating a Christmas tree decoration for you own Christmas tree or a decoration for the front door. Don't forget to create one for your grandparent's tree too! And they make great Christmas presents for your teachers when the real Christmas comes around.
Then carol to your heart's content and even off-key, as everyone will be in the carolling mood with carols being sung all around the town and even by the fire. I am not sure if they supply chestnuts and marshmallows, so you might have to pack those yourself!

Then plan your day well, as Santa comes to town every day on his Husky Dog Sleigh to entertain and delight and check off his list of everyone who is naughty and nice. And then you can have a ride on the Dog Sleigh yourself, but make sure you book ahead as it is a popular and fun ride. Plan your rosť cheeks and noses!
According to their marketing, "You can join Mt Baw Baw's arts and crafts workshop or embrace the winter wonderland and make your own Frosty the Snowman. From cookie decoration to Christmas karaoke and Mt Baw Baw's special Christmas in July party on Saturday 8 July, you'll find the perfect activity to keep warm this Christmas in July."
But the fun starts right away as it runs from 3rd of July to the 14th of July. And it's FREE. So you can just go out and play in the snow for a fun filled day. See mountbawbaw.com.au/for all the cold hard facts of this fun-filled trip.
