Christmas Festivities, Traditional Christmas Cuisine
It is said Christmas in July was created so we in the Southern Hemisphere could enjoy Christmas festivities in the colder months of the year, just like our Northern friends.
Over the weekend of 28th and 29th July, Coorparoo Square is holding their inaugural Christmas in July Laneway Party and you are all invited.
The Square's multicultural food retainers will give you a taste of what it is like in their country of origin at Christmas time. There will be food and drink promotions including mulled wine, Turkish hot chocolates, speciality Christmas Chicken, Christmas cakes and food tastings. The first 100 visitors to come to the precinct from 3.00pm will enjoy a complimentary mulled wine. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy 20% off all cakes slices at La Mimosa or Churros with Dulce de Leche at Barbocoa.

Beyond the Pale will be offering a moreish traditional Christmas dinner with mulled wine. Owner Aidan McGarrity says their special recipe of mulled wine is sure to be a big hit with locals and visitors.
Entertainment will be provided from 5.00 to 8.00pm by Brisbane Musician Tim Sladdin. Check out Tim's website to hear some of his songs and catch up on his news. You can also receive up-to-date news by subscribing to his mailing list.

Coorparoo is one of the heritage-rich suburbs of Brisbane and if you grew up in that area of a child you will remember the old Myer Centre, which was demolished to provide this amazing centre. Coorparoo Square has brought new vitality into the area creating apartments above and retail outlets below. At only 4.5 kilometres to the Brisbane CBD, Coorparoo Square is a centrally located while adding growth to the city of Brisbane.
Coorparoo Square is situated on the corner of Old Cleveland and Cavendish Roads. There is parking under the building as well on the neighbouring streets. Mark this event in your diary as a definite for this weekend.
