There's no denying Christmas shopping can be a chore. Over-crowded centres full of frazzled shoppers is the Scrooge to most people's Christmas cheer. So why not try something different this year and search for the perfect gift at one of the many Christmas markets around the Mornington Peninsula.

Saturday 14th November
Mt Eliza Primary School Christmas Market. 12noon-6pm there will be live music, market stalls, food, jumping castle, mini golf, face painting and more. Mt Eliza PS is located on Wooralla Drive, Mt Eliza.

Sunday 15th November
The Red Hill Country Fair is the major fundraising event for the Red Hill Consolidated School. Running between 10am-5pm the entire family will find something fun with live entertainment, show bags, rides and food. Red Hill Consolidated school is located on Arthurs Seat Road, Red Hill.

Friday 20th November
The Bittern Spring Festival at the Bittern Primary School is a treasure trove of fun. Fish for a lucky dip, browse market stalls, show bags, food and activities for kids will be the highlights. Running between 4pm-8pm, Bittern PS is located at 10 Portsmouth Road, Bittern.

Saturday 21st November
Dromana Primary School Fete will have it all. Market stalls, carnival rides, live music and more. Running between 10am-3pm, Dromana PS is located at 50 McCulloch Street, Dromana.

Sunday 22nd November
Car Boot sale raising money for St Macartan's and St Vincent De Paul, anybody is welcome to set up a stall and sell some unwanted goods for cash. Stalls are $20 and entry for buyers is free. In addition to market stalls there will be food and drinks, fashion, jewelry, books, toys, homewares, baked goods, handmade, local crafts and more. Running between 8am-12noon, the market is being held at St Macartan Primary School, 97 Bungower Road, Mornington.

Sunday 22nd November
Loved It Market (Nov) a fashion lovers paradise. Come seek something wonderful from the array of pre-loved fashion and accessories. The Loved It Market is entirely indoors and you'll never know what you might discover. This event runs between 9.30am-1.30pm and entry is $3 per adult. The Loved It Market is held at the Peninsula Community Theatre, 91 Wilsons Road, Mornington.



Sunday 22nd November
St Thomas More Christmas Festival. Fun for kids and adults alike. Carnival rides, craft, market stalls, entertainment, music, massage, show bags, food and more. This event runs between 11am-4pm at St Thomas More PS, 313 Canadian Bay Road, Mount Eliza.

Friday 27th November
Red Hill Cricket Club Twilight Market. Running between 5pm-9pm the market will offer market stalls, entertainment, wine tasting, food trucks and more. The Red Hill Cricket Club Twilight Market is being held at the Red Hill Recreation Reserve, 184 Arthurs Seat Road, Red Hill.

Saturday 28th November
Wallaroo Primary School Fair. Running 10am-3pm there will be a jumping castle, dunk tank (for teachers), scavenger hunt, petting zoo, face painting, races, food and plenty more. Wallaroo PS is located at Stalwart Ave, Hastings.

Saturday 28th November
Dromana Hub Family Fun Day. Not exactly a Christmas market, the Dromana Hub Family Fun Day is a great excuse to visit the Mornington Peninsula. Rides and activities to suit the whole family, this event runs between 10am-2pm at the Dromana Hub Shopping Centre, 251 Point Nepean Road, Dromana.

Sunday 29th November
Point Nepean Portsea Market. Arts, crafts, gourmet food, hand made and home grown fair, this market boasts over 250 quality stalls with kids entertainment and live music to boot. The market runs between 9am-2pm and if you miss the November market, pencil 17th January 2016 and 26th March 2016 onto your calendar. Parking $5. You will find this market at the Point Nepean Quarantine Station, Point Nepean Road, Portsea.

Friday 11th Decmeber
VIP Street Party Hastings. Over 160 local businesses are taking part in this community festival with special offers and a competition to win over $2,000 in prizes. Enjoy free entertainment, music and a cash grab machine! There are prizes for best dressed "superhero" outfit, door prizes, food, VIP shopping and a Lego making competition. This event runs between 4pm-8pm, the VIP Street party will be held along the High Street and surrounds of Hastings.



Saturday 12th December
Revival Market & Auction. The market component of this events runs between 9am-1.30pm and is designed especially for people who appreciate vintage, antique, collectable, bric-a-brac and old wares. There is also FREE visitor item appraisals from 12noon. Find out what your treasures are worth. Market entry $2.

The Auction component is held between 2.30pm-5pm (viewings start at 11am). To guarantee a seat you must register prior to the day, otherwise you may have to stand. Auction entry FREE.
The Revival Market and Auction is held at the Mount Eliza Community Hall, 90 Canadian Bay Road, Mount Eliza.

Sunday 20th December
Market on the Hill is a specific showcase of local small businesses while raising funds for The Briars and the Rotary Club. Held between 11am-5pm, entry is by gold coin donation. Find Market on the Hill at The Briars, 450 Nepean Highway, Mount Martha.

6th January & 13th January
The Boneo Lions Xmas Holiday Markets are held on two weekends in January. Market stalls, craft, clothing, food, toys, produce, jewellery, books, take away food and more. These markets run between 6am-2pm at the Rosebud Primary School, Point Nepean Road, Rosebud.
