Bring the whole family to enjoy a free Christmas event
On Sunday 4th December Mt Penang Gardens in Kariong on the central coast of New South Wales will come alive with The Christmas Fair for 2016.
Mt Penang Gardens was opened in late 2003 and its distinctive design has set it apart from traditional botanical gardens in other parts of Australia. Designer Anton James has created a landscape that evolves each day yet is less manicured than traditional gardens.

The Christmas Fair commences at 9.00am until 2.00pm and entry is free. As well, free parking is available across the whole location, yet the best entry point is Kangoo Road. Now in its ninth year, this year's event will feature 150 high-quality stalls selling anything from local arts and crafts, international food, puddings, cakes and fresh seasonable produce. Who can beat the delicious taste of stone fruit at this time of the year!
If you haven't yet purchased your Christmas Tree, fresh trees can be bought from Bloom Barn Farm at Peats Ridge. Other activities on the day include, live music from Fletcher Pilon and Grizzlee Train, buskers, roving magicians, a 20-player free video game experience, Little Puppet World, amusement and rides zone, Mini Jeeps, Little Kickers interactive football, face painting, jugglers, games under the trees and lots more. Santa will pay a visit on the day and for $5.00 your children can have their photograph taken with him.
Local food author Julie Goodwin will be making a special appearance and book signing. Radio Station Star 104.5FM will be broadcasting throughout the day keeping everyone up to date with the interaction promotions and winners of various prizes.
Don't forget to make time to wander through the gardens while enjoying this tranquil location. Why not hug a bulbous Bottle Tree or take photographs beside the Dragon Garden's strange cacti with every path walked will guide you onto another wonderful discovery through the gardens.
Mark Sunday on your calendar as a day for all the family to enjoy as well as supporting the Coast's best Christmas community event. The event is brought to the community by Fixx Events and Neon Garage. More information on the event can be found here.
