In the heart of Adelaide stands a vibrant, active church that is Adelaide's first church. Old and beautiful, yet new and involved, you're invited to celebrate the festive season with a few upcoming free events between now and Christmas. There's free car parking in the rear car park (accessible via the Morphett Street slip lane), so head on down to Trinity Church at 88 North Terrace, Adelaide.
Launching with a seriously fun night of carols on Sunday 9 December 2018 from 4.30 to 5.30pm and again from 7pm to 8pm it's going to be a night of carols and drama for all ages with family-friendly food and fun in the yard from 5.30pm to 7pm.
Christmas Steps on Sat 15 Dec 2018 from 4-8pm also at the church is about Christmas story tours every 15 minutes. At the end of the tour, you get free ice cream, jelly, popcorn and cake. There's also a party happening in the yard with free activities, Christmas photo booth, Rev It Up Racing, jumping castle, animal farm, face painting, nail art, craft and more.
With food and coffee available to buy, it's starting to look a lot like a party you hoedown and stay for, and enjoy. You're also invited to spare a thought for those less fortunate; families who are struggling this Christmas, so bring an item of non-perishable food, or more, for donation.
Traditional Carols on 17 December 2018 begins at 7pm and is a precious evening of carols in Adelaide's oldest church. Nothing sets the mood for Christmas festivities like traditional carolling with fun familiar music.
Kid's Christmas on Christmas Eve for year 5s and under - Monday 24 December 2019 from 4-4.30pm is at the Parish hall. This special event for kids will be followed by family-friendly food and fun in the yard till 6pm. The night flows on from there with Christmas Eve Church at 6pm AND 11pm and on Christmas Day at 9.30am.
