An awesome event, Lights on the Lake is a community festival to celebrate the festive season, held on the shores of the beautiful Currimundi Lake.
The fun starts at 4pm with music and entertainment all afternoon and evening and supervised kids' activities from 4 – 6pm., Come and try your hand beating out a rhythm in  the free drumming circle from 5 – 6pm.

Organise a group of friends and bring your families, a picnic blanket and hamper to set up on the grass to watch the fun on stage or on the bank of the Lake to watch the water parade of decorated and lit kayaks and canoes, from dusk.

There will be arts and crafts stalls featuring affordable and original work from local artists.
Santa will arrive from across the lake around 6pm before the dazzling water parade of kayaks and canoes festooned with Christmas lights and decorations commences as darkness falls.

Celebrate Christmas Aussie-style - a Christmas community event. Children can make crafts from recycled materials; there will be a sausage sizzle to raise funds for a local community group or you can bring your own picnic dinner. A concert with performances by locals groups and singalong carols by candlelight. And the special man from up North will also be making an appearance. A special free event for all ages, sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council, Andrew Powell's Local Heroes Grant and Palmwoods Uniting Church.

A fireworks display is scheduled for 8.00pm in front of The Surf Club Mooloolaba - make sure if you're not having dinner at the Surf Club that you have good beachside seats.
