Christmas shopping in a relaxed environment wins hands down
Have you visited Heritage Listed Ormiston House situated in the Redland's bayside? This just might be the perfect occasion.
Built in the 1860s by Capt. Louis Hope, known as the Father of the AustralianáSugar Industry, the house is surrounded by 14 acres of equally historic grounds and gardens overlooking Moreton Bay. At this time of the year, it offers a beautiful setting for taking in the view and for enjoying a Devonshire Tea on the verandah.
On Sunday 8th of December, Ormiston House will be open between 11am and 3pm hosting their Christmas Craft Markets. What an opportunity to peruse the beautiful gardens, the colonial architecture, browse the stalls for hand crafted gifts, and enjoy a cup of tea in the breeze off the bay.
Over 50 market stalls will be at this exciting event, selling all types of craft (and edible goodies!=) including knitting, sewing, beading, resin art, photography, woodwork, beauty products, clothing accessories and more.
Grab your sister, your mum, or a girlfriend and enjoy a few hours lost in a different era.
Ormiston House is situated at 277 Wellington Street, Ormiston.
