A night out for the whole family
Lanyon Homestead is a beautiful historic property in Tharwa, 25 minutes south of the CBD. Built in the 1800's, it is one of the first properties in Canberra and is available for people to step back in time and visit the beautifully preserved buildings and gardens.

On December 12th, there will be a night of Christmas Carols and you can also bring a picnic to enjoy dinner in the grounds. The carols start at 7pm with the Sing Australia Choir and Tuggeranong Valley Band as the sun sets over the Brindabellas. The homestead will be lit by candles and is decorated for a nineteenth century Christmas.

There will be Christmas ornament-making for children, a sausage sizzle, musical entertainment and carols on the lawns.
