All this will be followed by the Carols by Candlelight concert and a display of fireworks will end all the amazing festivities.
If there was to be one choice for Carols to be added to anyone's bucket list, this would be it for me. The amazing St Mary's Cathedral is a beautiful place to behold, religious or not, the atmosphere and celebration of this wonderful time of year will be complete in these Gothic surroundings and spiritual home.
This is free event and open to all. I am sure the pews will fill fast, so don't arrive late.
Sydney Opera House, Sydney - Fri 19Dec14 to Sun 21Dec14
Very fortunate that there will be more than an event at the Opera House!
Running from Friday 19 December to Sunday 21 December 2014, there will be 3 nightly concerts from 7:00pm on each of the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a 2:00pm matinee performance on the Saturday 20 December.
The carols will commence at 7:00pm and I am excited to share that there will be an 80 member Rock 'n' Soul Choir leading in the singing, they are volunteering their time and they have previously been seen on Australia's Got Talent. Should be amazing to soak in while feeling the sand between your toes!
Food and entertainment will be available and running from 4:30pm and proceeds from the event will go to the Avalon Surf Life Saving Club and the NSW Cancer Council.
Oh and Mr newsreader himself, Mr Ron Wilson will be the MC for the night. What more could you want in a Carol?!
