Christmas Carols in Geelong 2015, Part Two

There are lots of opportunities to attend Christmas Carols across Geelong. I have briefly outlined some of the Christmas Carols below.
Northern Carols by Candlelight

Northern Carols by Candlelight will be held on December 20th, 2015 from 6.00pm.These Carols are going to be at:

76 Purnell Road, Corio, in the Corio Community Park (opposite Corio Police Station).

Enjoy and celebrate Christmas at Northern Carols by Candlelight. Free pony rides, jumping castle, face painting, barbecue and carnival food. There will also be an appearance from Santa.

There is parking available, toilets, wheelchair access, and seating and viewing areas.

Lara Carols 2015. This year at Lara the combined Churches of Lara Carols will be held at Pirra Homestead, 108 Windermere Road, Lara on Sunday 20th December.

At 6.30pm pre-event activities begin. There will be a live nativity, face painting, a balloon artist, a sausage sizzle, ice cream and real coffee.

You can purchase candles and glow stix before the carols start. Carols start at 8.30pm. Sing along to your favourite Christmas Carols. There will also be several solo artists performing.

Bring your own picnic rug and chairs, fly repellent and jackets. This is a free community event. Bring your camera and have a photo taken at the free nativity. There is free parking opposite the venue on Windermere Road, Lara. Toilets are available, and there is wheelchair access.

Noel Noel Christmas Concert at the Basilica. This sounds like a really great event to attend.

Music at the Basilica presents a Christmas Concert with so many performers that you will be entertained for hours. The Windfire Chamber Choir and the Windfire Instrumental Ensemble will be performing.

Geelong Composer Malcolm John has written a work especially for the Windfire Choir. Conductor Rick Prakhoff will present Joseph Haydn's "Mass in Saint Nicholas".

There will also be soloists performing: Lee Abrahmsen, Belinda Patterson, Michael Petruccelli and Kiran Rajasingam. The Geelong Youth Choir, directed by Denise Hollingsworth, will sing a selection of Christmas Carols.

This massive musical event will be held on December 18th 2015, from 8.00am to 10.00pm, at St Mary's Basilica, 136 Yarra Street, Geelong. Entry is $30.00 for adults, $25.00 for children, $30.00 for seniors and $25.00 for concession holders.

Carols in the Hills.

Saturday December 12th the Moolap Carols Service will be held at Leopold Primary School.

Then on Sunday 13th December Carols in the Hills at Barrabool Hills will be held. There will be a pre-service family festival will lots of fun things for the children, and delicious food for everybody.

Family Festivals for both Carols start at 5.30pm with the Carols Servce starting at 7.00pm.

Barrabool Hills Church is at Province Boulevard, Highton. Leopold Primary School is at 1 Kensington Road, Leopold.
