Christmas carols all over Adelaide

It's time to celebrate the community spirit of Christmas and what better way than to enjoy a night of caroling under the stars? These free family friendly caroling events are spread all over Adelaide, so there's bound to be one close to you!

CENTRAL: Elder Park Carols by Candlelight is a 75 year old Adelaide tradition. Elder Park comes alive with candles and song as a huge line-up of stars performs at Adelaide's biggest free Christmas celebration. Jack Jones, Rachel Leahcar, Amber Lawrence, Ella Hooper, and Shannon Noll lead the on-stage entertainment from 8.15 pm Saturday December 7th. Pre-show entertainment begins at 5 pm and rides and attractions open from 2pm, so come make a day of it! Get all the info on how to get there and what's new here.

NORTH-EAST: For those in the north-east, the Civic Park Carols are on at Civic Park Modbury on Sunday 15th at 4 pm. This event is hosted by Brenton Ragless and Kate Collins from Nine news and headlined by local hero Guy Sebastian. Supported by a talented array of local artists and more fun than ever, this is a Christmas event not to be missed. Get the latest info here.

NORTH: The Playford Community Christmas Carols 2019 will be held at Fremont Park on Saturday 7th December. Hosted by Tim Campbell, the event features performances by the Royal Australian Navy Band and the Australian Girls Choir. Roving entertainers will help to keep the kids entertained until the man in red arrives to herald a fantastic fireworks display. Details here.

EAST: Come celebrate Christmas at Carols in the Park in the beautiful Hazelwood Park with The Raymond Sisters and Ryan Vandermyle, the Marryatville High Girls' Choir, the Tanunda Town Band and of course, Father Christmas! There'll be plenty of food vans from 4.30 pm and face painting for the kids.

SOUTH: The 2019 Hallett Cove Community Carols will be held at the Cove Sports and Community Club on Friday 6th December. Food and activities begin at 5pm with carols led by Cruse Control and Kit Densley from 7pm. Details here.

INNER SOUTH: The Minda Christmas Carols are held in conjunction with a Christmas market. The market begins at 11 am with carols from 4 pm to 7 pm. This is a much-loved community event. It's great if you prefer a daylight finish too. It's on Saturday 7th December 2019 at 12 – 16 King George Avenue, Brighton. Keep up to date here.

WEST: The Seaside Carols at Semaphore and Fireworks on Sunday 15 December 2019 will light up the Semaphore foreshore with light and sound. Markets and food stalls are open from 12 pm to 9 pm, with carols from 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm followed by a firework show over the jetty.

HILLS: Mt Barker Carols in the Park is a family event held annually at Keith Stephenson Park. It features local artists and the Mt Barker Big Band. Activities begin at 5 pm and carols at 7 pm on Saturday December 7th.

FLEURIEU: Just in time for school holidays, Carols in the Park will be held at the town square in Port Elliot on Tuesday 17th December from 5 pm for singing and guest artists. They'll be joined by Santa himself to ring in the Christmas holiday season on the south coast.

BAROSSA: Come along to Pioneer Park in Gawler on Saturday the 14th December for the Gawler Carols and Christmas Markets. The fun begins at 4 pm with market stalls, pre-carols entertainment and food available from 5.30 pm. Santa arrives at 6 and carols begin at 7.30 featuring the Gawler Town Band and much more.
