It is almost Christmas time and just before Christmas, there are great places to go and celebrate the Festive Season. Carol singing is one of the most fun and wonderful Christmas experiences that you can have.

Local carols are being held on the grounds at Mt. Martha House (corner Dominion Road and the Esplanade, Mt. Martha). Santa makes an appearance and its Carols by Candlelight for the all who venture there. (Check your local paper, church board or with the local Council to find out where the local Christmas Carol Events are near you).

Midnight Carols are always fun on Christmas Eve and many local churches hold them as well as their Christmas day services.

With a little bit of time, you can always find a local or regional Carol singing event to celebrate the festive season. Sydney held their Carols in the Domain this weekend, yet there are still other Carolling events you may attend. There are Carols each Thurs through to Sunday at Darling Harbour until Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, more Carols a free event, starting at 7.45pm at the Aquashell with proceeds going to the Starlight Foundation. There are many more local Church Carol Services and local community Carol singing events that are there for all to celebrate, search online and you might be surprised what you find. Look out for local notice boards or your local church service signs.

Melbourne's Carols are traditionally held on Christmas Eve at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. They have been held since 1938 and is a candle-lit night filled with song and families. Proceeds from this one go to Vision Australia.

Christmas Carols bring with them the joy of Christmas, the mystery of the nights before Christmas. The bright joyful wonderment in the eyes of children as they sing with their Mum and Dad and take in the evening sky, the candles and Christmas decorations.

In Trafalgar Square there are free Carol singing each evening until the 22nd December. In New York there is Washington Square with Carolling under the tree at 5pm Christmas Eve. Los Angeles has the Carols at the Farmers Market if you are looking to experience carolling other than the Carollers that go from home to home. Rio de Janeiro has those amazing electric Christmas trees and an English speaking Church there has Caroling on Christmas Eve.

London has the traditional Carols on 24th Dec at Westminister Abbey and there are Carols at London's Southbank each day until the 24th December.

Outback Carols were held in Kalgoolie, Alice Springs and Adelaide have held theirs this weekend and Perth has carols on in the Supreme Court Gardens Sunday 18th December.

If your family is far away or you want to celebrate with others, get a few friends together and create a party of it and sing the night away at Carols. It can be great fun.

Merry Xmas.
