Fairfield City Museum and Gallery invite you to come along and enjoy a twilight evening of festivities at their annual Christmas at the Museum event, a free night of family-friendly fun with Christmas-inspired games and activities on 9 December.
From 6pm, children can take part in arts and crafts that involve making their own bonbons and Scratch Art tree decorations, as well as slime and having their faces adorned at the face painting stations.
Christmas stalls in the night market will allow you to shop for gifts, handmade freshly-baked Christmas cookies, Christmas decorations (from The Christmas Box) and both cultural and linguistically diverse books (from Lost in Books).
Bring some snacks or picnic food and a rug to relax on later as you take in performances and Christmas carols from dancers, musicians and choirs that include Shae Mowen School of Dance, Greg Poppleton & 4 Piece Jazz Band, The Choir of Love and various other community groups. Sing along to all your favourites as you await that special merry visitor from the North Pole.
Dress up in your best festive outfit to impress Santa as he hands out treats to all the children. Meet and greet and be sure to snap a photo with him.
Free tea & coffee facilities are available for you to enjoy in the tranquil garden as you spend an evening under the stars celebrating Christmas together.
There's also lucky door prizes to be won on the night. Entry is free at this event, although an RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org is required for numbers purposes. Alternatively, you can call 9725 0190.
The museum and gallery are located at 634 The Horsley Drive, Smithfield. Entry is via Oxford Street.
