Ho Ho Ho at the Queen Vic
Queen Victoria Market is always fun to shop, eat or browse and even more so at Christmas time. There are lots of family-friendly activities and the best thing is that many are free. There will be carols singalong and Santa of course, but there is lots more.

For the kids there is a Christmas trail, just pick up a trail map from the Queen Victoria Market Visitor Hub located in String Bean Alley, or download it here. Follow the clues and there will be a prize at the end.

If you feel like singing along or at least listening, Christmas Carols will be performed along Queen Street under the Christmas Tree by different choirs, check the schedule below

Sunday 8 December, 11am Beyond the Bathroom
Thursday 12 December, 11.30am St Michael's Primary School
Friday 13 December, 11am South Village Singers
Saturday 14 December, 10am Footscray Community Choir
Sunday 15 December, 10am 'BUGSS' Bennettswood Ukulele Groups and Sing & Stringalong
Sunday 15 December, 11am LivingSong
Sunday 22 December, 11am Glee Club

On Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 December, 10am -2pm you can have your photo taken with Santa before he gets ready to deliver presents.

If you are looking for cooking inspirations for your Christmas lunch come and learn at the Free Cooking Demo. You can learn how to cook ceviche of scallops, octopus and snapper with chilli and lime, the perfect addition to your Christmas feast. Chef and Market ambassador Daniel Wilson will show you how easy and quick it is to prepare with fresh Market produce.

Date: Saturday 14 December, 11am 12pm
Location: Queen Street outside the Meat & Fish Hall
This cooking demonstration is free and no bookings are required.

On the 14th December, there is also a Sweet Tooth tour, a delicious way to get to know about all the stalls and cafes selling sweet things. The tour costs $69 and you can book here.

There is always so much to do the QVM besides the great choice in shopping for the best and freshest produce so check it all out here.
