Experience France without the ticket price
Chouquette is a New Farm gem of a Patisserie bringing an authentic taste of France to Brisbane
As you walk in, the experience starts when you are greeted by staff with a cheerful chorus of bonjours and friendly smiles. The first thing you see and smell is all the freshly baked breads lined up in wicker baskets on the wall and a long glass cabinet in the centre, full of the most scrumptious looking pastries, croissants and tarts that you will ever see. The additional shabby chic décor and friendly atmosphere also adds to this unique sensory encounter that the owner is trying to create.
This place is already quite the hit in New farm and over the weekend it is bustling with a line up of people all wanting to get a taste of these delicious french delicacies. The seating is quite limited with some indoor seating and bench seating outdoors. Despite this I did not have to wait long at all to get a seat.
The food is just what makes this place simply unforgettable! There are a great variety of choices from sweet to savoury including chouquettes, éclairs, macarons, tartes, croissants as well as a selection of fresh baguette sandwiches and quiches.
I was lucky enough to try the almond croissant, which was incredibly fresh, flaky delicate and buttery! Just absolutely delicious and everything you could have asked for in a croissant. Très Magnifique!
