Located along Rundle Street in Adelaide, Chopstix specialises in serving Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant is notable for a large selection of wine that you can order to accompany your food. During our visit we ordered the Mongolian Tofu, Signature Roast Duck and Crispy BBQ Chicken.
Chopstix's Mongolian Tofu is a vegetarian take on Mongolian Beef (a dish consisting of beef stir fried with vegetables with a sauce usually made from hoisin sauce, soy sauce and chilli). Both the vegetables and tofu had the right amount of bite with the tofu taking on the distinct flavour of the sauce which had a bit of spiciness. It is best to take a bit of care when eating it as it comes out piping hot.
Despite what its name suggests, the Crispy BBQ Chicken is not barbequed chicken. It's actually deep fried pieces of chicken and vegetables tossed in a special BBQ sauce with cashew nuts. The chicken was fried to golden brown with the crisp coating contrasting well with the tender meat with the sauce adding a delightful smoky flavour. The vegetables helped to add a bit of texture with the cashew nuts adding a bit of crunch.

Deboned for easy eating, Chopstix's Signature Roast Duck had crisp skin which contrasts well with the perfectly cooked meat. The dish comes with duck sauce and plum sauce that you can dip the duck in to enhance its flavour. The plum sauce has a slightly sweet flavour while the duck sauce has a salty taste.

The restaurant has a narrow footprint so the tables are spaced a bit close to each other. However ambience was still good with a view of Rundle Street.
