In 2007, Ross and Marianna Harvey created Chokolait with the aim to create a place where people could get fine Belgian chocolate, delicious drinks and other desserts, such as cakes and biscuits. Ten years on, they are still continuing to deliver that dream to the people of Melbourne. And In that time they have grown and matured to become one of Melbourne's most acclaimed chocolate salons.
Chokolait has now branched out and has two locations in Melbourne; one in Little Collins Street and the other in Emporium. The reason being you can't mix baking and chocolate making in the same place, without there being issues. So the chocolate is made in the Little Collins Street shop and the baked goods in the Emporium shop. However, it doesn't matter that they are made on two different sites as they are still hand crafted on site instead of being brought in. And I think this is what makes the sweets and drinks at Chokolait so delicious, the fact that they are made with quality on-site.
Sweets and drinks include (but are not limited to) hot chocolate made with real chocolate, chocolate mud cake, sticky date pudding, Hot Shots as well as chocolate fondue. All of them delicious options to be had while stopping at this comfortable and cosy shop in either Emporium or Little Collins Street.
