A quality Creperie just off Collins St
Choix Creperie Café, 620 Collins St, Melbourne
Choix Creperie is 'very Melbourne'. It is also proof that many of Melbourne's most memorable venues are located - not in a skyscraper, along the Yarra, or perhaps even along a harbour, like in other cities - but instead in a little, narrow laneway, just off Collins Street.
This cafe provides a great chance to take a seat street-side, on a summer morning or autumn afternoon. Pause for a moment or two to take in the heft and pace of Melbourne just down the lane, a little bit removed from you and this cafe, right near Southern Cross Station.
The inside of the cafe has warm hues and bright lights. To some this may not seem an immediate attraction - perhaps the first coffee of the morning after a long, late night - but actually, this makes it a good place to get away from gloomy skies on an overcast day.
The breakfast menu as this Café is expansive. So much so that it'd take a number of visits for even the hardiest of eaters to navigate through half the menu. Yet, for those who are understandably more timid, or keen to try just one, the 'Avocado, lime and sea salt on sourdough' represents a standout combo.
Choix Creperie Cafe: good crepes, good coffee - and all just off Collins St.
