Don't fret if you missed Sisko Chocolate's class on how to taste and appreciate chocolates for QV Melbourne's tropical retreat. Another of Melbourne's artisan chocolatiers will be organising a tasting in September for chocolate lovers.

Dedicated to all things couverture is Xocolatl Artisan Chocolates and Cafe based in Kew East. It is teaming up with Laneway Learning to host a 75 minutes tasting and appreciation class about this food of love. Laneway Learning offers evening classes that are cheap, informal and taught by practitioners from the local community. Located in Little Mule Cafe in Somerset Place, the session is only $14 per person.

The class will be led by Christos and Tina, a father-daughter team who produce high quality couverture bon bons at Xocolatl and enjoy sharing their passion for chocolate with others. You will learn how about the growing, process and making of chocolate from cacao. Tasting as you go, you'll pick up the different flavours of couvertures by trying different chocolates from different regions. This is also your opportunity to ask any question about chocolates including health facts and myths. So by the end of the class, you should be able to impress your friends with your new-found knowledge of chocolates.
