Feeling thirsty? Look no further than this easy DIY smoothie
Warmer weather means cold, refreshing drinks are in order. My love for chocolate banana flavours means trying to find the perfect chocolate banana smoothie recipe that is both delicious and not too fattening. This recipe is also ridiculously easy to follow, which is a plus point.
Ingredients 3 large, ripe bananas cut into pieces (peel them and leave them in the freezer overnight) cup milk
cup Greek yoghurt cup of chocolate syrup (I used Nutella) 1 cup of ice
All you need to do is combine all these ingredients in a blender, and blend away. You can add more chocolate syrup if you want your smoothie to be a little bit more chocolate-y or you can add more milk to make it richer. The Greek yoghurt gives more texture and a slight sour-rish taste to the smoothie so be careful to not add too much unless you like it that way.
Smoothies like these can be quite filling so they're perfect as breakfast, an afternoon snack or even an after-dinner dessert. I like to make mine extra rich in banana flavour so I tend to add more bananas to the mix. It's okay to use bananas that have gone slightly brown; in fact, they'll taste even sweeter that way.
