Choc Dipped Fruit
Enjoy these Exotic Choc Dipped Fruit pieces with your loved ones.

Who doesn't love chocolate? This recipe will satisfy your sweet tooth while providing your body with the vitamins fresh or dried fruit has to offer. I used banana, dates and natural sultanas in my recipe but you can use any fruit that tickles your fancy.

I love Lindt chocolate and the more cocoa the chocolate contains the richer it tastes. That's why the taste of this recipe has been described as "exotic". You can use this recipe for those romantic nights with you and your partner or a special treat for the kids.

1/2 Banana
Handful of Sunbeam natural sultanas

2. Fill a medium sized saucepan 3/4 of the way full with water.

3. Bring the water to boil on a medium heat.

4. Turn the stove temperature to a low heat so the water is simmering.

5. Place a large ceramic bowl on top of the saucepan.
Ceramic bowl
Place a large ceramic bowl on top of the saucepan.

Please note: It is important to use a ceramic bowl and a wooden spoon when melting the chocolate as stainless steel bowls and utensils can increase the temperature and cause the chocolate to become lumpy.

6. Prepare a greaseproof baking tin to place the choc dipped fruit pieces on.

7. Break the Lindt chocolate into pieces and add it to the ceramic bowl.

8. Continously stir the chocolate with a wooden spoon until just melted.

9. Use an oven glove or tea towels to remove the ceramic bowl from the saucepan and place it on a chopping board or a safe bench surface.

10. Using a skewer or kebab stick poke the fruit pieces one by one and dip the fruit into the chocolate. Then dip half of each choc dipped fruit piece into the nuts.

11. Place each piece of choc dipped fruit on the greaseproof baking tin, leaving two centimetres of space between each piece.

12. Place the tray in the freezer for a quick set for 10-15 minutes or in the fridge for 30 minutes.

13. Serve choc dipped fruit pieces cold with loved ones for a sweet dessert or a late night treat.
