Enjoy after the gym, at work or with a cuppa
I often bake treats for my family that I know that they will like - see my recipes here - but occasionally I will bake something healthy that is just for me (well, my husband sneaks a few squares too!). I love to eat this tasty slice with a cuppa in the afternoon to boost an energy slump, and I also wrap some up to take in my bag for after the gym or swimming laps at the pool. It is healthy, filling and full of flavour.

Why don't you make a batch for yourself, this weekend? I will be!

Choc Chip & Peanut Butter Healthy Slice Recipe, recipe, healthy slice recipes, australia, slice, peanut butter, maple syrup, chia seeds, no sugar,
Wrap up a square and take it to work, the gym or for a 3pm snack with a cuppa!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup maple syrup
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup oats
3/4 cup desiccated coconut
1 cup dark choc chips
1/4 cup sultanas
1/4 cup chia seeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon

What To Do:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 180 degrees, fan-forced. Line a slice tray (31cm x 21cm) with baking paper.

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, mix together the maple syrup and peanut butter until well combined. Add the remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly.

Step 3: Pour the mixture into the slice tray and use your fingers to press the mixture down firmly.

Step 4: Bake for 20 minutes until it is golden brown on top. Allow to cool in the tray and then slice up into squares.

It's an easy recipe that you will make again and again!
