Stay fit and calm in isolation with complimentary classes
Thailand, a place that many of us love and would love to return to, has decided to come to us so we can flourish during this difficult, housebound time.
Chiva-Som in Hua Hin was named 'Best Destination Spa' in Condé Nast Traveller The Spa Awards 2020 (UK). This stunning wellness retreat has launched a series of complimentary online wellness services to encourage us to maintain our wellness goals during self-isolation.
The complimentary services include some of Chiva-Som's most popular services, consultations, activities and physical training, all of which will be conducted one-on-one. Yes, that's right, no multiple screened Zoom shots to contend with.
Chiva-Som has delivered holistic wellness therapies for over 25 years and the new tele-therapy service connects individuals with the resort's team to provide bespoke professional support during this time of heightened anxiety and social isolation.
Participants will be able to speak directly to the experienced wellness team live from home via video communication and receive personalised feedback regarding lifestyle and nutrition.
The Complimentary Online Wellness Services are available daily from now until the 31st May 2020. Please note that a reservation is required and should be booked at least 24 hours in advance. You will receive a live health and wellness consultation, and a separate one-on-one consultation with a naturopath, or a physiotherapy or exercise session with a practitioner. The selection of consultation, treatment and exercise sessions will be based on the advisor's expert guidance.
There is everything from healthy cuisine recipes and holistic wellbeing advice, to virtual exercise programmes and self-training tutorials. There are also tips on boosting the immune system and on how to promote restful sleep; Pilates, yoga and meditation sessions; pranayama classes; and tutorials to teach self-massage.
Muay Thai is the national martial art of Thailand, a discipline that helps strengthen body and mind.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand has teamed with PTJ Muay Thai Gym to provide Muay Thai classes live-streamed to your home on Facebook.
Tune into the Facebook Page each Tuesday at 6pm to join the live-streamed Muay Thai Classes. There will be four classes in total, with prizes up for grabs each week for participants.
Muay Thai is suitable for men, women and kids of all ages - so get the whole family to join in. It's a great way to stay fit while learning self-defence mechanisms.
