Escape the city and create for the day
As you head up Great Northern Highway through Bullsbrook and Muchea, take the time to stop off at a new studio owned by a friendly creative couple. Gina and Andrew hand built this building with the help of Woofers from around the world. Using mainly recycled materials, lots of ingenuity and artistic license, they have created something truly magical in Chittering. Listen to their stories, enjoy the bush setting and you can enrol in a workshop or class to learn new skills and techniques.
I enjoyed a day there with two friends in this studio space which is festooned with steampunk junk and has a wall of drawers choc-full of materials and plenty of light with great views. If the colourful flags are out on the highway, they are open. If they are not out, they will still be happy to show you around and tell you what you can do at Chittering Acres. This idyllic spot is amazing and the people are inspirational. What a great starting point.
