Beach side dining in the sun
Do you enjoy your lunch with a view? Then look no further than Chippy's Beach Shack at Jindalee where cafe tables spill out onto an alfresco overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Not a bad view

The Beach Shack is located in one of Perth's new northern suburbs, right at the top of Marmion, but before you hit Yanchep.

Alfresco dining at 'The Shack'

This beachside cafe is the latest offering from the Chippy group who have already established a group of loyal fans through their fish and chip premises in Butler and Carramar. However, don't let the name fool you into thinking this is just a hot chip vendor. Instead, be delighted by a fresh, contemporary menu that will have you getting in the car and making a northbound trip to savour breakfast and lunch treats.

The Beach Shack is open from 8am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 6pm Friday to Sunday .

The Menu

There's an array of foods on offer at Chippy's Beach Shack and whilst you can get your fish and chip fix here, you'd be doing so at the expense of some other really delicious meal choices. There's a full breakfast menu on offer in addition to lunch and dinner items and some great cake choices to accompany your coffee in the sun. Popular choices when I last visited were the nachos and the very generous burgers. Kids are also catered for with a menu just for them although as portion sizes are on the large side, you can easily offer them something from your own plate; if you're in the mood for sharing.

Kids will love the adjacent play ground

This is a very family friendly place to dine, with kids able to bring their scooters or trikes to make best use of the large expanse of paved alfresco. The playground across from the café makes a great spot to take little ones whilst food orders are being made if their patience is not up to the wait. The café is also dog friendly, and definitely seemed a popular choice for dog owners. Being so close to our beautiful coastline, this would also make an ideal spot for a coffee after a long coastal walk and a slice of cake if you need to refuel.
