On Wednesday night I visited 'Chiosco by Ormeggio'a new Sicilian style restaurant situated on The Spit Marina. It was a balmy night and there was a buzz in the air as excited patrons waited in anticipation to taste the flavours of the new dishes that were being served.

Oemeggio Restaurant at The Jetty of D'Albora Marina is the ultimate in fine dinning. It has one Chef's Hat to its credit and is well-known on the Northern Beaches.
Ormeggio has added Chiosco to its list and they sit side by side on the marina. Chiosco is a casual Sicilian restaurant serving delicious innovative tapas dishes that are made to share. There are also entrees and mains if preferred.
Chef Alessandro Pavoni and the talented team of Ormeggio are also affiliated with Chiosco. The food is delicious and creative.
I chose Lamb Arrosticini (Skewers-Salsa Verde) as an entree, which was delicious and tender.

Lamb Arrosticini (Skewers Salsa Verde) $18
For a main course I shared with my friend the Snapper (oregano, cherry tomatoes, olives and basil). As an accompaniment we had Rucola Salad (parmesan & pear). The snapper was moist and delicious and the flavours of ingredients blended perfectly. The salad was fresh and crisp.

Snapper (Oregano,Cherry Tomatoes,Olives &Basil) $ 34
For dessert I chose Cannolo Siciliano (sweet ricotta & pistachio). This dish was so so good, with a touch of sweetness. The ricotta was delicious, light and delicate. It hit my taste buds with a burst of flavour.

Cannolo Sicilano (sweet Ricotta & pistachio) $10
The menu is varied, the prices reasonable, and the setting right on the water's edge.
The view of the night sky made a pretty picture over the water and all the diners were enjoying their meals. This restaurant is new but is already so popular that it is booked out every night.

I enjoyed my dining experience at Chiosco so much I have returned. This time I tried a couple of different dishes that were delicious. My friend and myself shared the Cooks co-op zucchini Flowers (filled with willow brae goats curd) as a starter. They were tasty and the goat's cheese creamy and flavoursome.

For a main course we each had and the Gamberoni (grilled split king prawns-chilli lemon dressing). The prawns were fresh also tasty and grilled to perfection.
