Celebrate the Year of the Metal Rat
2020 is the year of the Metal Rat and according to Chinese Horoscope, it is going to be a year of strength, prosperity, and luck for all zodiac signs. Personally, that is the best news this year. Bring on the Year of the Metal Rat!

To celebrate this year, Brookfield Place with be hosting an amazing Chinese Lunar New Year celebration with lion dancing performances and many other festive activities.

Visitors can follow the lion on his path to bless tenants, visitors and guests. On 30 January 2020, at 6 pm, the lion will bless the cafés, bars and restaurants in the Heritage Buildings and Lower Heritage Lane. On 31 January 2020, at 11 am, the lion will bless the Brookfield Place Café Court and main square performance.

The Lion Dancers will be performed by the Ging Mo Academy. This type of activity involves colour, noise, ceremony and dance features. It is an extremely beautiful dance and it should, in my opinion, be on everyone's bucket list to watch.

Apart from this, guest can look at colourful lanterns displayed outside Tower 1 and in the Heritage Square. There will also be dramatic lion statues and a canopy of coloured lanterns in Georges Lane.

To complete this festive experience, guests can visit the concierge desks for a complimentary fortune cookie. Notably, this is one festive event that should not be missed.

The event is free, with celebrations happening from 25 January to 8 February 2020. So if you miss the Lion Dancers, you can still enjoy some cultural treats throughout the precinct,
