The Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, began as early as 3000 years ago during the Shang Dynasty and as a celebration of the moon. It has a tradition of deity, but it is also a time to reconnect with family members. Many traditions of the Mid-Autumn festival are centred around family reunion and happiness.
