Event:
Taste your way through Asia
I don't know about you but my tastebuds are already watering just thinking of the glorious aromas and the most delectable, delicious dishes coming from the kitchens at Chinatown. Dim sims and dumplings with oodles and oodles of noodles and rice dishes. Not to mention some fabulous street entertainment and sights, catching the vibrant colours of chinese lanterns lighting up the street and billowing and swaying in the night time air.

Here is a market where you can come and delight the senses and try cuisines from across Asia, enjoy live entertainment and browse eclectic market stalls.

The Chinatown Street Markets are on every second month. Local shops and restaurants will be extending their trading hours during market times. The Chinatown precinct now holds events on the first Saturday of every month, when its streets will come alive with a range of exciting events such as free films, pop up bars, multicultural celebrations and of course the bi-monthly Chinatown Street Markets. The markets offer a blend of cuisines from across Asia, inspiring a celebration of fresh and authentic food for locals and visitors to try.

Many of you may not know, but Gold Coast Chinatown has become a major part of the revitalisation of Southport as an international CBD for the Gold Coast. Chinatown has been evolving over the last 12 months with the installation of a Confucius statue, modern Chinese lanterns, and the first of three traditional Chinese gates (Paifang).

Southport sounds like a changed suburb. Must be time for a visit again.

I think the time you have for the Chinese Markets does not seem correct. You have 4-7pm.
