Chillipadi Mamak Kopitiam is a Malaysian place on Racecourse Road, Kensington. This place is popular with the locals and the students. It is on a tram line (route 57) and about one minute from the Newmarket station. There is on street parking but it would be hard to find a park space on the weekend.

Last time I went was on a quiet Sunday with my friend on our way to the show. Here we shared a roti ($4.50) and I had the mi goreng which was a little bit cold and a bit too much ($10.50) and she had the char hor fun, which looked really overcooked ($10.90). We also ordered drinks though at $4.50 each and they were really good. I had the teh tarik which is the Malaysian pulled tea and its a little bit sweet. She had the Ribena which she loved it.

In short: come with a friend and share the noodle dishes. Or better still, come on their crab nights when the roti is free and the crab is fresh
