Today I discovered that the Destination Cafe at Daisy Hill has new owners and some significant changes have been made to the venue.

Firstly, it is no longer a dog cafe, so if you are used to taking your dog with you, be warned. Apparently insurance for canine clients is prohibitive.

Among their good ideas is serves of tiny pieces of slice. Enough to be a taste without any guilt.

The new owners took over days before the COVID closure of coffee shops. Luckily they were smart and quickly converted to Take Away and Text and Collect and have managed to stay busy.

The story of how it all happened is delightful. Sisters, Sharlene and Kylie, on a weekend break started to reminisce about their old dream of owning a coffee shop. Add some googling and some angelic help and EVERYTHING fell into place. The right people turned up to fill in the skillset gaps, the previous owners were helpful and honest, the locals have become loyal customers. A feel-good story if ever there was one.
They are now seating a limited number of customers and are open for breakfast and lunch. Drop in, without your dog, for breakfast or lunch or try Text and Collect. 0436 292 088

Named Chillax after their relaxing weekend, the coffee shop looks likely to be a great place to meet up.
