The famous American sitcom, Friends, set in Manhattan, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year after filming 263 episodes. To coincide with this milestone, Friends fanatics will have the chance to sit on the actual (yes, actual) couch from the show. Friends diehards will know that Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross spent a lot of time meeting and having coffee in Central Perk coffee house on their favourite orange couch.
The couch seemed to be at the epicentre of the cast's conversations on getting married, getting divorced, breaking up, changing jobs, and generally facing life's biggest moments. From here, they watched Phoebe entertain the Central Perk crowd with her own unique style to original songs like Smelly Cat as well as missing Gunthers' endless yearning for Rachel from behind the counter.
The show aired on NBC from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004, lasting ten seasons and featured guest appearances from some heavyweight stars such as George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Susan Sarandon and Brook Shields, Isabelle Rossellini and Robin Williams.
