Children's week is a nationally celebrated occasion, where for one week of the year the people of Australia can celebrate the achievements of its children and promote awareness of the rights of children as set out by the United Nations.

To kick off proceedings to officially open Children Week, a family 'Fun Safe Day' has been organised at the glorious Whiteman Park. This event looks set to pack in the fun with loads of live entertainment for kids and fun displays from Scitech, Birds of Prey, Animal Rescue, High Flyers Trampoling and much more. For the parents, organisers have arranged easy access to over 30 government agencies who all support child raising, education and assistance. A perfect event to come and explore, have fun and receive lots of helpful tips and assistance.

How Can I Celebrate Children's Week?

There are lots of ways to get involved. Firstly, you could attend one of the events already organised for Children's Week. Or, you could even consider hosting your own event. Big or small there's still time to plan event at your local play group, mothers group or how about just a small celebration with your family and friends. There are some great ideas here.
