Come along and celebrate Children's Week with a free Twilight Picnic event on Thursday 24 October 2024 from 4-7pm at Town Park, 20 Civic Square, Croydon. Bring family, bring friends to this dog, alcohol and smoke/vape-free event. Presented by Maroondah City Council, look forward to free activities for young kids and their families, inclusive of free entertainment, parent information stalls, sensory quiet zone, Indigenous Outreach Project hip hop crew, Mr Marvel Bubble, and Ruccis' circus roving performers. This is the perfect event for your next catch-up with family and friends - bring a picnic and enjoy sharing a meal together while enjoying interactive activities and entertainment for the young ones. Please note there will not be any food trucks on the premises, so bring your own food and beverages.

For the very young - ages 0-6 years

On Friday 25 October from 11am to 12 noon - head to the Croydon Library, 5 Civic Square, Croydon with the little ones for a Dance Party Family Storytime . No bookings required for this free event. Join Emma and Emma for a special dance party storytime to celebrate Children's Week! Storytime helps your child develop early literacy skills and a lifelong love of books. It is also a special time to bond with your child. The session will run for 25-30 minutes and is suitable for children aged 0-6, with stories, songs, rhymes, music and some fun dancing to support your child's development, followed by an activity. Families and caregivers are welcome to stay afterwards to socialise in the children's area.
