Children’s Week Picnic 2019

The annual Children's Week Picnic is back for the 19th year and will be held on Sunday 27th October from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at Gate 2, Werribee Park, 45 Princes Highway, Werribee.

This FREE community event is open to everyone and is a fun family-friendly day where there will be entertainment, interactive experiences, sporting activities, music, dancing and plenty of good times!

One of the people who will be there is Alex and Magician in jaw-dropping 3D!

The Trash Muppets will also be at the show - these will be very interesting and be handmade.

You will also be able to buy food from the food trucks and watch roving entertainers throughout the day. The event provides an opportunity for children to explore new experiences and activities in a fun, safe and family-friendly setting.

To boost education and learning through fun and different activities.

To encourage an active and healthy lifestyle.

To help to provide children with a chance to work out their best talents through new experiences.

To encourage a safe and enjoyable area for families.

To be available to all Wyndham families.

To show the city of Wyndham.

You can get all the children involved with Green Living in Wyndham as they can show you how to change your fruit and vegetable scraps into grand new plants to Science Play Kids.

Going to the picnic and all the activities at this event are FREE for everyone. The age group for this event will be from infant to 25 years. It is for adults, infants and toddlers, pre-school primary school, secondary school, as well as seniors.

Water: A water trailer will be available for fresh drinking water all through the event, so please be sure to bring your water bottle!

Travel: There is free parking on-site and event traffic management systems will be in place. Please follow all road and traffic signs and obey traffic and parking officer's instructions to make sure you arrive safely and exit the event.

Free Shuttle Bus: There will be a free shuttle bus running from Wyndham Vale and Werribee train stations.

What to Bring: Bring a picnic blanket, a hat, sunscreen, jacket, and a poncho for bad weather. Please note there are limited shaded areas – so come prepared for rain, hail or shine!

Exhibitors: There will be over 30 exhibitors that you will be able to check out on the day.

ATM: There will be an ATM onsite for the duration of the event.
