Children's Week in South Australia is Friday 23rd October to Sunday 1st November. Why not mark this celebration by having fun with the small people in your life? Show them how much they are valued by their family and connect them to the big picture of how children are valued by their community and country.

2015 is the 25th Anniversary of Australia signing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. This year's theme is: 'Children's Rights are Human Rights'.

His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) sums up the importance of valuing our children in his Children's Week Message. 'Children are so precious to all of us. They represent our future and they have the enthusiasm and potential to change our world and make it a better place. Our great responsibility is to celebrate them for who they are and appreciate them for what they can be. We must do everything we can to ensure children in our society are safe and happy and have every opportunity to fulfill their own dreams and aspirations, this can only happen if we protect and promote their human rights.'
