Take the kids on a local adventure
Roma Street Parkland is bursting with play and educational opportunities for children. Whether you plan to walk or ride bikes/scooters, children will love exploring the different gardens. There's a mixture of wide concrete pathways, boardwalk style tracks and bridges - you may even feel a cool mist or light splash from trickling creeks.

The Children's Garden and Playground is ideal for younger children. A sensory garden trail encourages children to critically observe their surroundings and encourages hands-on play with musical garden installations and structures.

Playground features include colourful slides, forts, a carousel and various nature play elements. The playground structures are immersed within the surrounding gardens, with "secret entry" points (rock pathway through the garden, accessing equipment from higher ground etc).

A second playground caters for older or more capable children. A series of elevated cubby houses are accessed by climbing nets and interconnected with suspension rope bridges. A slide and wall climbing features are embedded within the contours of the playground surrounds. Both playgrounds are well shaded by material sails and gardens.

A trackless train offers tours throughout Roma Street Parkland, however, this service is currently unavailable due to restrictions.

Of course, no trip is complete without a stroll around the lake and a picnic on the lawn. Food and drinks can be purchased from both onsite and nearby cafes.

There are several car parking areas, however, they do require payment.
