I love to travel and some time ago discovered I also love to write, combine this with my husband's photography and we get to share it all with you. Please follow us on Facebook.
Repurpose, Reuse, Relove
There is no doubt about it, children churn through clothes quicker than you can blink. They grow bigger and taller and that item of clothing or pair of shoes you bought, what seems like a very short time ago, no longer fits them yet they still seem to be in perfectly wearable condition.
What if you could trade that item of clothing for another item, just as good, that fits? Sounds good? Then come along to the Town of Cambridge Administration Centre, 1 Bold Park Drive, Floreat on Sunday 7 March 2021 at 12 pm and join in the Children's Community Clothing Swap.
Swap instead of shop and reduce textile waste at this great community event. Invite family and friends as there will be plenty of sizes and styles for everyone to choose from, focusing on children and maternity wear.
The free, 2 hour event will enable you to bring along any babies, toddlers and children's clothing and accessories and maternity wear that is presentable and wearable/usable. Ideal items are those that you or your children loved but which is either no longer a favourite or no longer fits.
Clean, undamaged, quality clothing with a potential, long lifespan is encouraged. Bring clothes on hangars and already sorted into sizes ready to place on racks or into infant clothing tubs.
Anything not swapped will be donated to local charities.
To attend, please register at the website. You will be asked to answer questions relevant to what you will bring to swap, to help organisers plan for the event.
Be COVID safe. Please check in on the SafeWA Government COVID-Safe App, wear your mask and social distance.
