There's nothing trivial about child poverty
ChildFund Australia works in partnership with children and their communities to create significant and sustainable change by supporting long-term community development and promoting children's rights. It's a member of the ChildFund Alliance which is made up of 12 organisations helping more than 15 million children and families in 58 countries.

ChildFund Alliance members make a real difference in areas where children are impacted by war, natural disaster, poverty and global health issues.

In the last financial year, 79% of funds raised by ChildFund Australia, from both individual and organisational donors, was used to deliver program objectives for children and communities. This equated to over $38 million.

So, here's the Big Ask.

ChildFund Australia's Big Ask is Australia's biggest trivia challenge with funds raised going towards fighting global child poverty. It's happening from 27 April - 3 May 2015.

What it involves is hosting a trivia event at home, in the office, school, your local pub or any other place you can think of. Trivia nights are a lot of fun and it's free to register. Here's what you need to do:

1. Become a host. You can get more information about hosting a trivia event by going to this link.
2. Create your event. ChildFund Australia will provide you with all the information you need to create a fun event. The free toolkit includes templates and an online fundraising page to set up your event and raise funds.
3. Send out the invitations. Get a group of family, friends or colleagues together and have some fun. ChildFund Australia will provide you with everything you need to ensure the event is a great success.
4. Have fun and share hope knowing that you're helping children in need.

For more information about registering and organising an event, go to the website or you can call ChildFund Australia on 1800 023 600.

There's nothing trivial about poverty and this is a great opportunity for you to make a difference.
