Have You Got A Night Te-Quila?
Last time I walked down Peel Street, it was boring, empty, and lacking some excitement…

Which is why, I am so pleasantly surprised that it has been transformed since then - and in a huge way!

Mexican aesthetics at Chihuahua Bar

Having not ventured out in the town for over six months, my partner and I decided to explore how the nightlife in Adelaide had evolved since our last adventurous sprint around the CBD.

Finding quirky decor in my favourite colour at Chihuahua Bar

Stumbling upon Chihuahua Bar was possibly the best thing that soon became the highlight of our (very) enjoyable night! Chihuahua Bar is one of the latest additions on Peel Street, which is tucked away in a little corner. Just like the Tardis, it is so much bigger on the inside.

Welcoming ambience outside the Chihuahua Bar

With a spacious interior that spans over two floors, and a very cozy outdoor seating area that is equipped with a flame heater (perfect for the upcoming winter season), Chihuahua Bar does not disappoint!

Considered to be the mini version of Tijuana Showgirls, the decor of Chihuahua Bar easily makes you feel like you're transported to Mexico itself. With their timber-polished furniture, natural aesthetic detail on the walls, coupled with a classy bar counter placed on both levels, customers can be assured to have a truly authentic, Mexican experience at Chihuahua Bar.

One of the main reasons why I enjoyed my visit to Chihuahua Bar (apart from their fantastic selection of tequila-inspired drinks) was the hospitable attitude of the staff members. They were very accommodating throughout the duration of our visit - asking us if our drinks were delicious, making sure that we were enjoying our evening, and even offering to concoct a special, individualized cocktail that would best serve our boozy palettes.

Speaking of drinks, the selection offered by Chihuahua Bar includes a lovely balance of Mexican-themed cocktails with a tangy, fresh twist, a combination of tequila-infused drinks, and South American wines that are sure to add to the "exotic" element boasted by this little, intricately designed bar establishment. While I haven't had the opportunity to check out their menu, I hear that their pulled pork and smoked salmon tostadas are "to die for"!

For a little bar on a quaint, little street, with competition surrounding them left, right and centre, the Chihuahua Bar has been off to a fantastic start. Since their inception in 2013, they have continually served an exceptional level of service, with a fresh selection of street-style food and complementary bar cocktails with a touch of Mexican and South American gourmet.

Additionally, the friendly staff members will (occasionally) give you the motivation and courage to try new, eccentric cocktails by having a taster with their customers!

With all these points in focus, you really can't go wrong at the Chihuahua Bar. It offers the perfect experience, without the loud music interrupting sweet conversations that you have with your group of friends. And don't be surprised if their trendy playlist makes you dance - that's how you'll know you've had a fantastic time at the Chihuahua Bar!

Thanks for sharing Xarah - the Chihuahua Bar's enroute from the train station to my work place (vice versa etc.) and I've often walked past wondering what it's like...
