One need not worry about being harpooned with arrows by mischievous cherubs, as Valentine's week has officially commenced at Chicago's French Market (located within the Ogilvie station, 131 N. Clinton).
From 11am–2pm on Saturday, Feb. 11 vendors and purveyors of fine gourmet wares served up chocolate samples of the richest varieties during Chocolate Fest. Shoppers were treated to samplings of brownies, pastries, gelato and a variety of hot cocoa concoctions, while web grrl and Foodgasm chef Ashley Simone was on-hand providing Valentine's Day dish inspiration through hourly demonstrations and free recipes.
