Wow, can you believe that Chevallum StrawbFest is into its thirty-first year and it is all thanks to the amazing generosity of the Twist Brothers Strawberry Farm, who have enabled StrawbFest to be the huge success that it is, year after year. Families from all over the Sunshine Coast come together in a celebration of all things strawberry at the annual Chevallum StrawbFest.

The Twist Brothers grow the most decadently divine strawberries you have ever tasted on their farm and every year they open up their hearts and their farm and allow the children of Chevallum State School to pick tonnes of strawberries. This 'mountain' of strawberries are then transformed into a veritable strawberry feast, which includes jam, syrup, salad, strawberry and marshmallow kebabs, strawberry sundaes, strawberry-topped pavlovas and even strawberry daiquiris from the licensed Strawberry Daiquiri bar. This unique community event helps provide additional resources for the school.

Mirroring the multicultural influences in the Chevallum State School community, StrawbFest will, this year, offer a multi-cultural world of feast and a variety of entertainment. There will be bigger, better and more mechanical rides than ever before, numerous traditional stalls, and an abundance of strawberries. Be entertained by live music on three different stages or have some fun at side show alley, with the evening culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.

Karl Smith from The Lyrical will be performing - Karl has won several busking awards and has been number one on Triple J's unearthed competition, five times. Rhythm Culture will be sharing their love of African drumming, music and culture at the festivities too.

Every year hay bales are provided for everyone to sit on at StrawbFest and watch the main stage. But, as the Festival is such a popular event, there are never enough hay bales to go around. Please bring a blanket or chairs to sit back and relax and enjoy some good music.

On this fabulous night of strawberries and family fun, all food is paid for with food tickets (please remember to bring along some cash), which you can purchase on the night. The food tickets can also be used at the stalls - any tickets left over at the end of the evening (if that's possible!), are not refundable, so grab some Strawberry Jam or have one last Strawberry Daiquiri for the road.
Parking is plentiful, with special thanks to neighbouring farms for their generosity in loaning their fields to StrawbFest to be used as carparks on the night.
