A blooming beautiful day out
With spring just around the corner, CherryHill Orchards are once again welcoming visitors to their annual Blossom Festival. No need to go to Japan to see the gorgeous cherry blossoms, you can see them right here in the beautiful Yarra Valley.

The CherryHill Orchards Blossom Festival runs from Thursday 26 September to Sunday 6 October 2019, where you can wander through rows and rows of cherry trees in all their blooming glory.

All that sweet-smelling fresh air is bound to make you hungry, so there will be an array of food trucks on hand to keep you satisfied. Choose between Vietnamese Nem Nem, Asian favourites Dum and Dumpling, Mexican street-food Dos Diablos, Real OG Burgers and more. Or fill your picnic basket with goodies, grab a rug and spread your feast out under a shady tree. Don't forget to leave room for one of CherryHill's famous cherry ice-creams.

Entertainment will be provided by up and coming Melbourne artists including Ellery Cohen and Angus Legg as well as Yarra Valley singer-songwriter Shaun Black. Purchase a beautiful spring flower crown and unleash your innerspring fairy. Along with lawn games and face painting, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this year's festival.

Tickets for the blossom festival are available online and are priced as follows:

Adults (14 ): $10.00
Child (4-13): $ 5.00 (weekend) $0.00 (weekday)
Child (3 and under): $0.00

Please note you will be asked to choose a session. This refers to when you would like to enter the orchard, not when you have to leave by. You are welcome to stay until 5:00pm.

Blossom Festival Workshops
Several workshops are run during the festival:

Busy Bees Honey Workshop

We all know the importance of bees and without these little hard workers, there would be no cherries. Join local bee expert Holly Hale, who will be on hand running several Busy Bees workshops for the kids. Learn about the bee life-cycle, what makes up a hive and how the bees make all that yummy honey.

See a real hive of honey bees in action along with a demonstration of the different tools used in beekeeping. You'll also learn how bees help our environment and why they are so important in food production. Finally, what would be a beekeeping demonstration without plenty of honey to sample?

Tickets for the honey workshops are only $5.00 and can be purchased online. This does not include entry to the blossom festival.

Capturing Springtime Flora at Cherry Hill Orchard

Nikon will present a camera masterclass so visitors can capture stunning memories during the festival. This inspiring one-hour photographic walking tour is suitable for beginners and experienced photographers. Under the guidance of two expert Nikon School Lecturers and an official orchard guide, you'll wander through avenues of cherry blossom trees and be given plenty of helpful tips and hints for taking the very best photos.

You'll need to have access to your own camera, and the cost of the camera masterclass is $19.95 and includes the tour and entry to the orchard.

Flemings Gardening Workshop

The team from Fleming will be providing detailed information on how to plant fruit trees, care for them and maintain them for the long term. A unique opportunity to gain advice first hand from the experts.

Tickets for the gardening workshop are only $5.00 and can be purchased online. This does not include entry to the blossom festival.

CherryHill Orchards story began in 1940 when the first cherry trees in Victoria's fertile Yarra Valley were planted. They are located in the beautiful Yarra Valley approximately 1 hour away from Melbourne's CBD.
