Cherrybrook's annual Movie Under the Stars event is a fun way to spend a night with the family, all while watching a movie under starlight. Held in John Purchase Oval Cherrybrook, the event is a great way to spend a Saturday night outdoors with your local community.
The event was originally started in 2012, as a way to re-open John Purchase Oval after its refurbishment. Attracting close to 1000 people, the event was such a success, that they decided to make it an annual event.
Hosted by the Girl Scouts, this year's movie will be 'Monsters University', a fun, family-friendly film for people of all ages. The event will start from 5pm, featuring a range of food stalls and activities, with the movie due to start at 7:30pm.
Entry is by Gold Coin donation, (cheaper than going to the movies!), and the event is alcohol-free, making it a great family event. So, if you're in the Hills district this Saturday, why not bring a gold coin (and something to sit on), and have a fun night under the stars with your favourite monsters.
This event is on again this year. It is on Saturday 7th March 2015 and this year we are showing The Lego Movie. There will also be a fireworks display after the movie. More details can be found on our website (the same as last year). Is it possible to amend this article to make it for this years event.
