I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.
Cherrybrook Movie under the Stars is the first event in Hornsby Shire's Movies Under the Stars autumn series. It will take place on Saturday March 7 at John Purchase Oval.

Screening on the night will be The Lego Movie, which will start at 7.30pm. Other activities will take place from 4.30pm, some even referencing the movie, like the LEGO displays (you can also get LEGO showbags with mini figurines).

The rest of the activities include face-painting, the Scouts NSW climbing wall, a bouncy castle and the Boing! Central big trampoline. Kids can try out handball targets with Westbrook AFL or test themselves with the speed radar at the 'fastest pitching' competition run by the Greenway Giants. After the movie there will also be fireworks.

Dinner has been taken care of too with a BBQ set to offer a range of options: vegetarian burgers, sausages, beefburgers and salads. Other food includes hot popcorn, fairy floss, lollies, cold beverages, tea, coffee and cakes.

Entry to Cherrybrook Movie under the Stars is a gold coin donation. Money raised will go to 1st Cherrybrook Scout Group.

As part of the the Movies Under the Stars series, a film is screened each month somewhere in Hornsby Shire. The other events in the autumn series will be in Hornsby on Sunday April 19 and Berowra on Saturday May 2. They are all used as fundraisers for local organisations. More details can be found here.
