Want to Experience the Exotic Without Leaving Australia?
Open to a tantalizing taste of colourful Tibetan Buddhist culture arising from lush green Queensland rainforest? This peaceful setting has much to offer for the curious and there is certainly no hard sell. Less than thirty minutes from the coast via Eudlo one is transported to a very different space within 160 acres of rainforest. Feel yourself relax as you negotiate the scenic route along Ilkley Road with vast views over the forest-clad hills.
Wander about to soak up the forty years of calm, the paths meander between small rustic cabins and very tall trees. Enjoy a real coffee with fresh cake or a vegetarian lunch at the Big Love Cafe or browse their shop of Asian goods. Glimpse those drifting about in maroon robes just like the Dalai Lama or explore one of their courses or mediations. Better still, hire out their facility to run your own course – yoga, city escape, therapy, training, etc. Their new expanded facility has plenty of space with two additional 'offices' attached for private interviews.
They can provide delicious vegetarian meals and charming rustic accommodation with plenty of parking. Come a bit earlier, not just for that chai, but be prepared to test your fitness climbing the stairs or if sincerely challenged you can be dropped off near their shop.
