Cheltenham Park is a lovely park set among big leafy trees with plenty of natural shade. The main playground is located in a nature reserve and provides a lot of options for the young and old.
The equipment includes a birds nest swing, a flying fox, spinning cup, 2 sets of swings, a climbing structure with ropes and climbing walls. Younger kids can also hop on a red seahorse and blue motorbike springer while the bigger kids can enjoy sliding down a relatively long metallic slide!
The are some lovely bush walking tracks for a suburban park. If you have a dog, this a great option to spend some quality time with your furry friend as this park is also pet friendly.
There is a another separate play structure which includes a wave slide, curved slide, spiral ladder, steps, climber with circles and a fireman's pole under the shade of trees. This is a hit with the smaller kids.
This playground feels very spacious and there are two separate ovals. There is lots of space for the kids to run freely and also get a chance to practice their cricket skills! One of the ovals has a batting cage and a big grassy area.

Have a swing!
In terms of facilities, there were toilets available at the pavilion which was clean and well maintained. There are a number of tables and seats as well as BBQs facilities and car parking. Water taps were also available. The park itself is close to public transport and also the popular Charman road shopping strip.
