Food and words.

Last year Adelaide cheese lovers mourned the announcement that the popular event CheeseFest would not be continuing, but there's good news for fromage fiends. Not only has CheeseFest been reborn as Ferment the Festival, but this July Plant 4 Bowden will be hosting it's own cheese festival: Cheese-A-Holics Cheese Festival.

The one-day festival will run from 10am till 5pm on Sunday 23rd of July. Tickets are available online with options for general festival admission as well as additional tickets for the cheese masterclasses held throughout the day.

General admission tickets will get you access to the main cheesy action. This includes samples from cheese producers and sellers including SA Based Udder Delights and the Barossa Valley Cheese Company. The best cheese accompaniments aren't forgotten, and there will be opportunities to grab some vino, a tipple of gin, or some bread and olives to go with your cheese.

If you're after a little more, then you can check out one of the masterclasses on offer. Tickets are available for $10 a class.

The Ultimate Cheese Toasty with Jessie Spiby
If you thought making a toastie (or toasty if you're that way inclined) was a simple as grabbing two slices of bread and some cheese, it seems you'd be wrong. Masterchef's Jessie Spiby will be expanding your toastie repertoire with different toastie recipes and a chance for you to create your own toastie.

Cheese and Beer Masterclass with Lauretta Whittaker 12PM
We always talk about the pairing of cheese and wine, but you might be surprised to know that beer is considered a much better choice. Lauretta Whittaker will talk you through the best ways to mix your cheese and beer.

More Than Just a Cheeseboard with Jessie Spiby 1PM
Feel like your cheeseboard ideas are as dry as a cheeseless cracker? Jessie Spiby has a few ideas on how to mix up your cheeseboard creativity, including a baked brie you'll get to gorge on at the end of the class.

Vertical Italian Cheese Masterclass with Lauretta Whittaker 2PM
Forget about the fromage and start thinking about formmagio. The last class of the day takes a look at the best Italian cheeses on offer and walks you through the best way to enjoy a creamy mozzarella or a sharp pecorino.

Each masterclass has a limit of 20 people, so they may sell out quickly. Tickets can be purchased online and for more information head to the Cheese-A-Holics website.
