Help the White Ribbon Organisation raise funds for critical primary prevention programs by hosting a Cheese for Change night this March. Bring together family, friends and your colleagues for a cheesy night in. Or even a cheesy lunch or brunch in. Raise funds and awareness of the prevention of violence against women programs run by White Ribbon.

All proceeds from your fundraising efforts will help create a safer future for everyone, a future free from violence and abuse. White Ribbon aims to raise $200,000 to aid programs such as Breaking the Silence, the free respectful relationships school program.

Be creative with anything to do with cheese at your event. Make a cheese antipasto board, cheese toasties, a cheesy pasta dish or even a fondue. Remember, every dollar you raise will help programs run by White Ribbon to educate and inform people on how to prevent violence.

The statistics for violence against women are frightening. 1 in 3 Australian women have suffered some form of domestic abuse, either physical or verbal. Even scarier stats are the fact that 1 in 4 children have seen or suffered this abuse as well.

The aim of the programs run by White Ribbon is to make everyone aware of gender equality and tolerance. How to foster a culture of respecting women and girls as well as being kind and courteous. A culture of treating others as you wish to be treated. Violence does not solve anything, it only makes arguments worse and usually, there is no resolution. Everyone involved gets hurt.



This March you can help to make this generational change a reality. Host a Cheese for Change event at your home, school or workplace and let us make a violence-free future for all Australians.
